Council is seeking applications from suitable individuals to fill current Labourer positions to undertake the physical aspects of maintenance and construction activities associated with Council’s infrastructure.
Currently there are 3 permanent, full-time positions within the Water and Sewer Section; 1 permanent full-time position within Transport and Stormwater, and 1 permanent, full-time position within Infrastructure Delivery. However, all suitable applications will be kept on a database for a period of 12 months and may be used to fill future vacancies.
To be successful in this position, you must hold a motor vehicle licence and White card (or equivalent). You will demonstrate a strong work ethic, be reliable and have the physical fitness to perform strenuous manual work. Sound communication, literacy and numeracy skills are also essential whilst being an active member of the team.
Permanent, full-time positions are with remuneration at Grade 3 of Council’s salary system.
Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical examination at Council’s expense.
