Reporting Analyst/Developer – Position Filled

Position: Reporting Analyst/Developer

Location: Port Macquarie

Our Port Macquarie based client is seeking to engage a Reporting System Specialist for a minimum 12 month engagement.

Required Qualifications:

  • MSSC
  • Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or similar

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Actively participate in Operational Support activities of all environments
  • Identify areas of impact by assessing release notes and other documentation for patches as required
  • Raise and work through support calls with vendors of the supported systems
  • Implementation of patches / bug fixes to ensure system stability / performance
  • Design, Develop, Test and Promote solutions for new or changed requirements
  • Use of appropriate Defect and Request Management frameworks and tools
  • Develop, test and execute implementation plans for releases
  • Understand and develop security controls
  • Provide reporting for Management on the performance and reliability of supported systems
  • Promote the use of automation controls for management of development, release and support activities
  • Assist with the establishment and on-going maintenance of knowledge management, education and awareness, continuous improvement, and risk management
  • Attend to business as usual Database Administration activities

Experience:

Essential:

  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, DML, TSQL, CDC, MDS, SSRS
    and SSIS;
  • Experience in data visualisation tools such as TiBCO Spotfire Analytics;
    Experience with Microsoft Azure, SQL Data warehouse, Data Factory
    Service, SQL PAAS;
  • Good proficiency in Oracle RDBMS DML;
  • Operational support related to incident analysis, design, development
    and testing, prod deployment life cycles and bug fixes;
  • Team player, willingness to help others, and share ideas and concepts
    for problem solving;
  • Experience working in a large ITIL compliant environment;
  • Experience working with the back end database of asset management,
    financial (in particular PeopleSoft), customer information, SAP,
    electricity network distribution and work tasks systems;
  • Ability to convert functional requirements to technical requirements

Desirable:

  • Experience with Microsoft Power Bi
  • Windows Server operating environment
  • Power Shell
